TEFL Course Information

The TEFL Academy offers students some of the best job prospects in both the UK and worldwide with the UK’s most competitive 120-hour TEFL course. In addition to the 20-hours of face-to-face tuition, students are given access to our 100-hour online TEFL and grammar course. The Cheltenham TEFL course gives students an in-depth knowledge of both teaching and the TEFL industry as a whole.

To apply for best teaching positions internationally you will need to have completed 120-hours of TEFL tuition. Some schools/employers may prefer 20-hours of the training to have been completed in the classroom. This is why our combined TEFL course has been designed to meet this criteria.

Once the course is completed you will be awarded with The TEFL Academy 120-Hour TEFL Certificate – a globally recognised qualification. Not only this, we will also help boost your career prospects by giving you access to the exclusive TEFL jobs board.

Book your place on any TEFL course that is more than 2 weeks away with just a £50 deposit! (Access to the online course is provided on receipt of the full balance payment).

Course options explained

With so much choice and such a vast amount of conflicting information available on the Internet it can be difficult for potential TEFL course students to make the correct choice. You should ensure that your TEFL course includes 120-hours of TEFL tuition, as this is the international standard for entry level teaching positions.

You will see many courses available that are shorter than 120-hours, these options are TEFL taster courses and will not be accepted by most employers. We have never seen a job that requires more than 120-hours of TEFL tuition.

If you feel you would benefit from face-to-face tuition, including the opportunity to practice all you have learnt in the classroom, you should choose a combined 120-hour TEFL course with 20-hours of face-to-face training. Combined courses may be preferred by some employers.

Tutor

Neil Fyfe, TEFL Trainer

Neil started working in TEFL in 1992 in Spain.

After landing in Madrid he got his first job in 4 days by calling around the local academies. Since then he has taught all sorts of ages, levels and interests, including business people, extensive and intensive courses. He has also taught in Great Britain and in Brazil. He ran his own academy successfully for many years, so has experience of the TEFL world from many different angles. He says with The TEFL Academy qualification under the student’s belt, the best idea is to go forth and get a job ASAP and get teaching. Aside from teaching he enjoys music, family and friends, languages and quite a few other things and says these things are always useful in class too!

"After gaining a TEFL qualification, the best idea is go forth and get a job as soon as possible and get teaching."
