120 hours’ tuition is all it takes for you to gain a TEFL qualification and work in the UK or overseas teaching English as a foreign language.

The TEFL Academy course is convenient and comprehensive. Online study for 100 hours with an intensive weekend study period of 20 hours, will provide you with the knowledge and support to gain a TEFL certificate recognised throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

We deliver the practical part of the course from various places in the UK and Ireland, you only need to pick a location near to you and a convenient date.

The practical study includes teaching reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, as well as classroom management and lesson planning. You will also get the opportunity to do some teaching on your own, in order to gain essential experience in a classroom environment.

Study at your convenience and complete the course within a period of 6 months, or use your spare time to get things done quickly and become qualified within weeks.

The 100-hour online theory course is split into ten modules which covers grammar, vocabulary and teaching methods. By the end of your study period you will have the knowledge you need to start a new career teaching English.

When you are ready to look for paid employment either abroad or in the UK, we will give you access to our exclusive job board and help you with any applications you want to make.

Reserve a place on the TEFL Academy 120-hour course for a deposit of £50. Once you have paid the balance you can take the first step towards gaining a TEFL certificate and make a start on the online course.

With so much choice and such a vast amount of conflicting information available on the Internet it can be difficult for potential TEFL course students to make the correct choice. You should ensure that your TEFL course includes 120-hours of TEFL tuition, as this is the international standard for entry level teaching positions.

You will see many courses available that are shorter than 120-hours, these options are TEFL taster courses and will not be accepted by most employers. We have never seen a job that requires more than 120-hours of TEFL tuition.

If you feel you would benefit from face-to-face tuition, including the opportunity to practice all you have learnt in the classroom, you should choose a combined 120-hour TEFL course with 20-hours of face-to-face training. Combined courses may be preferred by some employers.
