Jennifer Lightfoot, TEFL Trainer
Jennifer has taught many different people from a wide range of countries; from children, teenagers and adults to corporate and government clients and even a Belarussian businessman in a castle in Scotland!
She's worked in private language schools, UK primary and secondary schools and Colleges and taught in all settings from small groups and 1:1 to large classes of noisy teenagers! She has a real passion for travel and has visited over twenty countries. She loves languages and teaches Spanish too! If she could give any prospective teacher two simple pieces of advice it would be, "to get to know your students - if there’s no rapport then you (and they) will be in for a tough time - and to observe other teachers, which is great way to pick up some tips. TEFL could be a short-term way for you to travel, or it could turn into a lifelong career, but I guarantee that it’s a really rewarding job and lots of fun."
"My advice to any prospective teacher is to get to know your students."
