How do I enrol on a TEFL course with The TEFL Academy?

Enrolment is very simple and can be done completely online or over the phone.

First you need to decide which course you want to do.

We offer a 168-hour Level 5 TEFL Course, which will qualify you to teach English as a foreign language in most countries around the world.

We’re the world’s only TEFL course provider that has received official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies both in the US and the UK. Our course has been approved by the DEAC, a U.S. Department of Education National Accreditor. Our course is internationally recognised, regulated by Ofqual, a UK government department and awarded by Qualifi, a UK government recognized awarding body. You can find more information on our website.

Most students finish the course in 6-8 weeks, but we give you 6 months access to the online modules so you can fit your studies around your existing commitments. You can choose to study our course completely online, or combined with 10 hours of face-to-face classroom training. You can enrol for either course through our website and pay online with a credit or debit card.

The course is broken down into 10 units, covering everything you need to know to start teaching English. The course is assessed with a mix of short tests and coursework and is equal to 168 hours of study. Online tutors are available who you can contact throughout your course for any academic enquiries.

It is possible to fail the online tests and the three submitted coursework assignments.

If you fail a test, you can see which answers you got wrong, revise the unit and take it again as many times as you need to pass it. If you do not pass a submitted assignment you will receive very clear feedback on what you need to do to pass and given the opportunity to resubmit. You can make up to three submissions for each assignment.

Over 90% of the students who submit the final assignment pass the course. The 10-hour classroom training session on the combined course is not assessed. As long as you attend and participate, you will pass it.

The 10 hours in the classroom covers the practical side of teaching, so there is a lot of group work and the course is very interactive. You will also get the opportunity to practice teaching some short lessons and receive feedback from an experienced TEFL tutor. You can see our course dates and locations on our website .

You can find our current course prices here.

We have created The World TEFL Factbook in order to provide an up-to-date and accurate profile of the world’s TEFL markets, which you can download for free.

If you want to pay online then please just click the enrol button on the website to start registration. If you want to pay over the phone then please call us.
