During the morning and early afternoon, teach 6th-grade students in a fun, realistic immersion atmosphere in mini camps! Then in the late afternoon teach 4th, 5th or 6th graders in a more traditional/academic setting. Truly the best of both worlds - balancing short, high-energy/high-interest classes with the ability to make long-lasting connections over the course of a semester.
With 30 foreign teachers, this is a great environment for new teachers still finding their feet, or more experienced teachers looking to try out new ideas and further develop their skills.
The contract stipulates 34 teaching hours per week, but with the exception of summer/winter camp season, most teachers have 28-30 lessons per week (average 5-6 per day). Due to the 2-day camp structure, prep is MUCH lower than otherwise for this number of teaching hours.
