Volunteer Overview

Come and show off your creative and enthusiastic side in Sri Lanka by volunteering at our pre-school. Your time and dedication will help massively to provide education the children need in order to grow, develop and become independent.

Your time will be spent assisting the teachers with a core range of subjects including English, maths, art, music, drama and sports! You will have to plan your own lessons, create displays, have fun at playtime and most of all have fun!

Located along the west coast, close to Galle you will be just a stones throw from the beautiful palm tree lined beaches that Sri Lanka is so famous for! Explore Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage, discover their stunning coastlines and become a part of the local community where everyone is so friendly.

What You Need

To be able to speak fluent English (do not need to be native)
A positive attitude and heaps of energy to help make a difference
A minimum of a 120-hour TEFL certificate

What You Don’t Need

Previous teaching experience
A university degree

What’s Included

1-24 weeks teaching placement at the local school
Accommodation within our volunteer accommodation
Three meals per day
Airport pickup (24 hours)
In-country orientation
24/7 UK and in-country support
