As soon as you have been given the post, your employer will obtain your Visa Issuance Confirmation Number: this will authorise the Korean Consulate in your country to process your visa application. Your employer will also send you a visa issuance number. The necessary documents that are usually required to be sent to your new employer in S. Korea are as follows: A copy of your TEFL qualification with attached apostille: the apostille is the authentication of a document for use in another country. An original CRB – notarised with an attached apostille on the original. A photocopy of your passport picture and the personal details pages. Three passport-sized colour photographs of yourself, one of which must be signed and date stamped on the back. A statement of health - completed and signed: this can usually be obtained from your general practitioner (GP) in the UK. A copy of your CV: this should clearly show your home address, contact details, and be signed. A copy of the school's contract which has been signed and dated by you. These documents should be sent by some form of postal service that also provides tracking. On receipt of these documents, the employer will then apply for your E2 Confirmation of Visa Insurance Number: this usually takes about five to ten days to process. Once your employer sends you this number, you will have to send the documents below to the S. Korean embassy in London. You will not be required to attend an interview:                                                      A Valid passport – which must have at least 6 months validity and 2 empty pages for processing. A passport photo. An identical Health Statement Form completed exactly the same way as the first one. A completed E2 visa application. Visa Confirmation of Issuance number.  A prepaid postage return envelope.                            Call the embassy before sending the documents and tell them when you are going to send them. Make sure that you enquire about their preferred method of posting: the embassy will not accept documents sent by certain couriers. The process takes about five to ten working days; on completion, you will be sent your passport with an E2 visa sticker in it You may now legally travel to S. Korea.
