Experience
• A part of a university module – teaching foreigners functional English in order to integrate in society.
• Organising and planning lessons and materials for my students and for others to use.
• Assessing my students’ strengths and weaknesses, and cater to their needs and aims.
• Being formally assessed on the effectiveness on the lesson I gave, occasionally.
• Receiving feedback on my lesson to improve the effectiveness of my lessons and teaching.
• Assisting on day trips out and spending time with children and young people with additional and complex needs.
• Helping our Young People Group (i.e. our teenagers) to gather the social/life skills they need to thrive for when they get older. This includes encourage their independency, their interactions in society, and supporting their choices.
• Providing support on projects, such as Callum’s Promise bags (bags designed with sensory items such as space blankets, strobe bouncy balls, rainmakers etc).
• Administration work – making phone calls to other organisations, formatting database that handle sensitive information, and sending out emails to promote workshops
• Involved with organising events for the charity.
• Annual Safeguarding Training of Children and Young Adults.
