- Why do other providers offer so many course options?
The simple answer is, we just don’t know! If you want casual work teaching English, such as volunteer teaching, teaching whilst backpacking, plus some online roles, then you should complete a 120 hour Level 3 TEFL course.
If you want more formal work teaching English, such as the contracted roles on our jobs board or government teaching programmes, then check out our Level 5 course options here.
We know that navigating your way through the TEFL web of courses is very confusing. This is why we try to keep it simple, giving you exactly what you need to get the best jobs around the world!

Accreditation & Quality Assurance
The TEFL Academy was the world’s first TEFL course provider to receive official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies in both the USA and UK. This means when you graduate you’ll hold a globally recognised Level 3 (120hr) Certificate or Level 5 (168hr) Diploma, meaning you can find work anywhere and apply for jobs immediately.
