She taught in international schools in The Netherlands and for non-profit agencies meeting the needs of immigrants and refugees in the USA where she lived for over twenty years. She has a Masters degree in TESOL methods and has managed ESL programs based in schools and churches, workplaces, juvenile centres and community colleges. She is particularly keen on providing support and encouragement to newly qualified ESL teachers or those wishing to expand into online ESL teaching. She has extensive experience in the training and management of faculty and volunteer teams in addition to program development and blended learning. She believes that knowing student goals, backgrounds and barriers to learning is essential to the success of her students.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
The TEFL Academy was the world’s first TEFL course provider to receive official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies in both the USA and UK. This means when you graduate you’ll hold a globally recognised Level 3 (120hr) Certificate or Level 5 (168hr) Diploma, meaning you can find work anywhere and apply for jobs immediately.
