The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is a Japanese government sponsored exchange programme that offers university graduates opportunities to work in Japan as either an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) team teaching with a Japanese Teacher of English in elementary, junior and senior high schools or a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR-fluency in Japanese is an asset) in selected local government offices in Japan.
Important: The JET Programme is run by the Embassy/Consulate of Japan in each participating country. Please apply through the JET office in your country of citizenship and do not use the Apply button on this page.
