DescriptionLet’s cut to the chase, you’ve got your TEFL certificate and you’re eager to put it to use. You want real classroom experience, but you also want to travel and explore somewhere exciting. So why not hit two birds with one stone and kick off your TEFL journey by volunteering in Spain?
Lead engaging English-speaking activities by morning, sip café con leche in sun-drenched plazas by afternoon. Help students prep for oral exams on Monday, hike the Pyrenees on Saturday. Share your culture in class, live a whole new one outside of it!
If you're after a meaningful travel experience, hands-on teaching practice, and a taste of life in Europe, then this is your sign.
Program snapshot:
- Location: Across Spain (city and town placements available)
- Duration: 3 months (one academic term)
- Start Dates: October, January, or March
- Schedule: ~20 classroom hours/week plus ~2 hours coordinating
- Accommodation: Homestay with a local family (3 meals/day included) or self-arranged private housing
- Deposit: Approx. €450 (fully refundable upon successful completion)
- Medical Insurance: Included and paid for by the program
What you'll do:
As a Language Assistant, you’ll support local teachers and help students build their confidence in English. Your tasks may include:
- Leading conversation-based activities and games
- Supporting small-group or one-on-one speaking practice
- Helping students prepare for oral exams
- Bringing cultural insights to the classroom
- Assisting with occasional planning or extracurricular activities
- Location: Across Spain (city and town placements available)

RequirementsA native level speaker of English, French, or German
An accredited TEFL Certification
Aged 18 or older, meeting these education guidelines:
- Under 22: High school diploma
- 22–26: Enrolled in or completed a 3-year degree
- Over 26: Completed a 3-year degree
From a country that does not require a visa for stays under 90 days in the Schengen area
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to work with young learners
No teaching experience or Spanish skills required! -
