This position is at SABIS SUN International School • Dreamland, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Job purpose:
Enabling the success of students and helping in academic achievement to reach their potential, through the implementation of the SABIS curriculum and philosophy and the consistent use of the SABIS teaching methodology.
Key responsibilities:
• Teaching using the provided lesson plans, and developing plans from the provided pacing charts where needed
• Marking exams in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department
• Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and head of department as needed
• Implementing the SABIS point system to maintain an environment conducive to learning
• Invigilating exams in a properly managed exam environment
• Supporting academically lower-performing students to improve and stay motivated
• Preparing students for external exams using past papers, following the structured revision schedule where applicable to the grade
• Assisting with duties such as testing children, substituting for absent teachers, organising children for lunches and buses, and other administrative duties assigned by school management
• Preparing and participating in activity plans for student life events

Requirements- Native level English speaker, or English proficient depending on subject
- Bachelor degree in a related subject matter or equivalent
- Accredited TEFL Certificate
- MS Office skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work within a team -
