DescriptionUzbekistan is still relatively unknown to many, but it’s quickly becoming an exciting destination in Central Asia. With increasing demand for English education, friendly communities, affordable living, and a strong cultural identity, it offers teachers a truly different and rewarding experience abroad.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English teachers to join public secondary and high schools across the country starting September 2026.
This role offers the chance to make an impact in the lives of students across Uzbekistan, helping them gain confidence in English, while also allowing you to grow professionally as an English teacher.

Responsibilities:
- Teach English (20 contact hours) to secondary school students from grade 9 to grade 11 (14-17 years old)
- Run extra-curricular activities (6 hours weekly)
- Plan and prepare the necessary resources for the lessons
- Mark and provide appropriate feedback on students’ oral and written work
- Track students progress at the end of each term
- Cooperate with assistant teacher (local English language teacher)
- Conduct seminars for local English language teachers (2 hours weekly)

and back for one academic year (up to 1200 USD in total)
- Free private accommodation with all facilities (utilities shall be covered by the teachers– approximately £30-£40 monthly)

Requirements- Bachelors degree or higher
- From one of the following countries due to visa requirements (USA, CA, UK, IRE, AUS, NZ, SA)
- Clean criminal background check
- An accredited TEFL certificate
- Valid passport
- Experience of living/teaching abroad is highly desirable -
