We have a variety of positions available throughout Thailand, teaching a range of ages beginning November 2019 as well as the next term beginning in mid May 2020. The contracts are initially for one semester beginning on 1st November 2019 • February / March 2020, with the option to renew at the same school or switch schools if you’re looking to stay on in Thailand after the first semester.
We work with a range of different schools and in different areas, and we do take any preferences that you have into consideration when organising your placement. At the beginning of the term we run two different programs • an induction and a 3 day TEFL refresher course to provide more information about teaching in Thailand specifically.
Echo English will be holding an induction in October 2019 for successful applicants to meet and get to know the company, and we ask all new teachers attend this free day. There are two options for successful applicants:
1. Induction • guaranteed job (free) • October 2019
The one day induction is held in Bangkok, and gives teachers the opportunity to meet other teachers who will also be working with Echo English, learn more about us and meet the rest of the staff. During the Induction, we’ll cover more information about the visa and work permit processes, give more advice and support for travelling to your school and what to expect on arrival and answer any additional questions you might have.
This is also an excellent opportunity for our new teachers to get to know each other before the start of term.
This program includes:

2. 3 day TEFL refresher • induction • guaranteed job (6,000 THB) • October 2019
The 3 day TEFL is held in the same hotel where we hold the induction and begins on October 21st when you check into the provided accommodation at the hotel. This program is ideal for anyone looking to gain an insight into what it will be like to teach in a Thai school and learn more about what to expect. All teachers attending this program must already have a TEFL or equivalent teaching experience, and so this is not a basic introduction to TEFL • it’s aimed at preparing you for teaching in Thailand. It’s also a great way to get to know other teachers and the staff.
During the 3-day TEFL, we’ll cover topics that are specific to teaching in Thailand, including Thai culture, Thai language, classroom management, lesson planning and teaching styles preferred by the schools. Over the 3 days you will get to know both your trainers and other teachers who will be living and working Thailand and you’ll gain the confidence and techniques needed to walk into to the classroom prepared and ready to embrace the next 4-5 months of teaching in Thailand!
