Concept checking is asking questions to establish whether our learners have understood the language we have presented.
Of course we can simply ask “Do you understand?” but that doesn’t mean that we should always believe our students when they enthusiastically answer “Yes”!
In order to make sure they really do understand the language concept you have taught, you can use concept checking questions.
