Ashley Jade Bush

I studied English, Afrikaans, Mathematics Literacy, Life Orientation, History, Consumer Studies and Tourism. I received a distinction in Mathematics Literacy and outstanding marks for the rest of my subjects. I participated in two Olympiads and received awards for them, gained a merit 200 and other awards including 1st place in Mathematics Literacy and a Principal's Award for assisting in various school events.

I aided students with homework and assignments, guided older students with studying techniques and created and supervised activities during holidays.

I participated in a government run, youth employment initiative, meant to try encourage the youth of my country to become teachers. I was assigned to the grade 2 team and aided 4 of the 5 teachers in their day-to-day tasks, assisted struggling students, assessed and evaluated students and substituted in for sick teachers.

I was the general assistant for both the creche and nursery school. My primary duties were aiding the teachers with the toddlers, changing nappies and preparing the toddlers for nursery school. I aided in maintaining classrooms, assisting teachers in their lessons and planning and overseeing various activities.
