Jennifer Wilson
TEFL Trainer
Jennifer has taught many different people from a wide range of countries; from children, teenagers and adults to corporate and government clients and even a Belarussian businessman in a castle in Scotland!
"My advice to any prospective teacher is to get to know your students."
She’s worked in private language schools, UK primary and secondary schools and Colleges and taught in all settings from small groups and 1:1 to large classes of noisy teenagers! She has a real passion for travel and has visited over twenty countries. She loves languages and teaches Spanish too! If she could give any prospective teacher two simple pieces of advice it would be, “to get to know your students – if there’s no rapport then you (and they) will be in for a tough time – and to observe other teachers, which is great way to pick up some tips. TEFL could be a short-term way for you to travel, or it could turn into a lifelong career, but I guarantee that it’s a really rewarding job and lots of fun.”

Georgina Newcombe
TEFL Trainer
Georgina has taught English for over twelve years in the UK, as well as Italy, Mexico, Austria, and various locations around Poland.
"My advice for prospective EFL teachers is not to panic about the grammar, but tackle it piecemeal."
The world of TEFL appealed largely due to her low boredom threshold; She enjoys the peripatetic nature of the work, as well as meeting new people on a regular basis. She’s a lifelong horror movie fan and loves a good ghost story. Her advice for prospective EFL teachers is not to panic about the grammar but tackle it piecemeal; research what you’ll be teaching before each lesson, and over time it will all come together.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
The TEFL Academy was the world’s first TEFL course provider to receive official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies in both the USA and UK. This means when you graduate you’ll hold a globally recognised Level 3 (120hr) Certificate or Level 5 (168hr) Diploma, meaning you can find work anywhere and apply for jobs immediately.
