DescriptionAbout the Role
EngAll is a South Korean EduTech company providing 1:1 customized online English classes for highly motivated working professionals. We are seeking versatile educators who excel in general adult English instruction and possess the specialized skills to guide learners through high-stakes proficiency exams (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, PTE, OPIc, etc.).
While your foundational student base will focus on general fluency, business communication, and career-oriented goals, you will serve as a crucial resource for students whose goals shift toward rigorous test preparation. This is a flexible, remote contract role designed as an ideal supplemental income stream for advanced degree holders, industry professionals transitioning to part-time work, or experienced adult educators looking for a highly rewarding, flexible way to coach driven adults while managing their own professional schedule.
Please note: this role is exclusively focused on adult learners. Candidates whose primary experience is in K-12 education will not be considered.
What You Will Do
- Dynamic Coaching: apply adult learning principles (including frameworks like Andragogy and Bloom's Taxonomy) to deliver customized 1:1 English coaching tailored to the everyday needs of working professionals and higher education students.
- Targeted Exam Prep: pivot seamlessly to strategy-driven test prep (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, PTE, OPIc, etc.) when assigned students with specific certification mandates.
- Curriculum Adaptation: leverage the provided curriculum while integrating your own specialized materials to optimize student engagement for both general English and exam modules.
- Professional Reliability: maintain a minimum of 10 hours of weekly schedule availability (including 5 hours during peak demand times) to allow students to book sessions across international time zones.
-
BenefitsFlexible Remote Work: Teach from home and manage your schedule around your professional and personal commitments, with a minimum availability of 10 hours per week, including 5 hours during peak class hours.
Teaching Resources & Dedicated Support: Save preparation time with ready-to-use teaching materials and curricula while maintaining the freedom to use your own resources and teaching methods. Receive ongoing support from the EngAll team and opportunities to develop your teaching skills.
Motivated & Professionally Diverse Students: Connect with highly motivated, goal-driven Korean learners, including professionals from major companies and university and graduate-level students. Enjoy meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and exposure to diverse industries and academic fields.
Personalized Tutor Recommendations & Promotion: Gain visibility through targeted student recommendations based on your professional background, academic expertise, and industry experience. Benefit from EngAll's marketing initiatives, including potential collaborations with student influencers and content creators on platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. -
RequirementsRegional Market Alignment: Because our students are specifically preparing for universities and corporate roles in North America, the UK, and Oceania, we require candidates who hold a passport from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
Certification: An accredited English language teaching certification is required. Advanced, regulated credentials that demonstrate a high standard of adult instruction are heavily preferred (e.g., TEFL, CELTA).
Combined Teaching Expertise Demonstrated experience teaching general/business English to adults, combined with experience successfully coaching English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, PTE, or OPIc.
Technical Independence: A reliable workstation (Windows/macOS), high-speed internet, quality audio/video equipment, and the ability to seamlessly navigate multiple digital platforms concurrently.
