Experience
I am the Learning Support Teacher at an isiXhosa school where the learners are learning English as an additional language. I work with the class teachers to make sure that the learners who are not performing well, can still do what is expected of them with their abilities in mind. I assess learners scholastically if I feel like there is a concern for a learning barrier.
I was the subject teacher for Creative Arts for Grade 8 learners.
Afrikaans First Additional Language Grade 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Life Orientation Grade 8 and 11.
I assisted the learning support teacher in making the class a friendly learning environment for learners who are learning an additional language.
Assisted learners with learning barriers to be able to achieve their full potential.
Differentiation between lessons that the teachers do and the learner's abilities are tested.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
The TEFL Academy was the world’s first TEFL course provider to receive official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies in both the USA and UK. This means when you graduate you’ll hold a globally recognised Level 3 (120hr) Certificate or Level 5 (168hr) Diploma, meaning you can find work anywhere and apply for jobs immediately.
