MAJOR IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

Responsibilities

• Grade 6 Reading / English Language Arts Instruction
• Design the Syllabus for Reading, Plan Lessons, and Carry Out Assessments
• Engage parents in the progress of students
• Create a safe learning environment for students and ensure that every student is open to maximizing
his/her potential.
• Attend all school meetings and participate in school activities
• Coaching AASCA debates in Middle School and High School

Achievement
Since August 2024, I have been a Middle School teacher at Escuela Internacional Sampedrana. I have witnessed
my students grow their critical thinking skills and love for reading. This has not only helped them in class but
also boosted their confidence to participate in activities like the knowledge bowl, spelling bee, and competitive
debates.

Responsibilities

• Teach English in years 7 and 10 and Literature in year 10.
• Scheme and deliver well-differentiated, inquiry-based lessons that arouse learners’ curiosity, following
the engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate steps
• Plan classroom activities and create an educational fun field learning environment for learners.
• Carry out assessments to evaluate the progress of learners.
• Organize and train students for spelling bee events, debates, drama, and other activities like musical
productions.
• Work as an MC for school events like sports day.

Achievements

• Successful organization of events like the spelling bee and the Frozen Musical Production.
• The learners in my subject performed well. International students who couldn’t speak English started
to speak and write it.
