Experience
Remote and in-person tutor who provided one-on-one sessions to support students focusing on the five key literacy components: Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Tutored/taught high school students in Algebra and Calculus through the CUNY tutor program, collaborating with the host teachers to support lesson planning and providing one-on-one help to students. Helped students prepare for the state exams and the SAT, especially those impacted by learning disruption during COVID-19. Additionally, participated in monthly professional development to improve teaching strategies.
Assisted with teaching and supervised after-school and camp programs for students in kindergarten to 5th-grade grade, supporting homework, safety, and classroom activities. Collaborated with teachers to plan and lead lesson for classes of 20-30 students.
