DescriptionFor over 35 years, English in Action has delivered intensive communicative English courses in schools across Europe.
Teachers travel to schools in countries including Austria and Germany, delivering engaging speaking-focused lessons to students aged approximately 11-16 (with some primary programmes).
Contracts typically last between one and six weeks, with many teachers returning throughout the year whenever they have availability. There's no expectation to commit long-term – you simply tell us when you're available to teach.
Monday • Friday (25 hours per week)
Unlike permanent teaching posts, our programmes are designed to fit around your schedule.
Please note: Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK (for payroll purposes) and have native-level English proficiency.
Upcoming contracts
We're currently recruiting for teachers available from:
• Week commencing 23 August 2026 (priority)
• Week commencing 6 September 2026
Ideally we're looking for teachers who can work from the week beginning 23 August, although contracts remain flexible depending on your availability.
Many teachers complete several consecutive weeks before returning home, while others join us for individual weeks throughout the year.
