DescriptionWe are looking for teachers for a minimum commitment of 10 weeks, to deliver English classes to refugees and asylum seekers in the Epirus region of Northern Greece. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching English as a foreign/second language and would possess a strong understanding of or passion for the context we work in. Experience in delivering educational activities in this context is a strong advantage.
The role will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons for classes that can range from A0 (illiteracy) to B2, taking into account individual differences in level within each class
- Preparing class materials and assessments
- Empowering students with interpersonal – and life – skills; and incorporating these skills into lesson planning
- Completing various administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and communicating class updates to the students
- Ensuring student engagement and progress
Working closely with the Education Manager to ensure the programme is being delivered to the expected standards of Second Tree - Participating in various community engagement activities so as to maintain relationships with students outwith the classroom context such as: picnics, community lunches, sporting events, etc.

Requirements- An accredited TEFL Certificate
- Be accountable and efficient, making sure that your tasks are completed in the agreed time frame
- Prioritise and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met; managing a wide-ranging workload
- Be honest and transparent; be able to give and receive feedback in the most straightforward way
- Care for people: the interests of the people we work with should always be your first concern
- Work independently and in a team
- Work in a high-intensity environment and be adaptable
- Have a flexible attitude and approach to teaching and be willing to enforce strict classroom management
- Have strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills

- Experience working in the refugee context (preferred)
- Experience teaching low-level literacy student(preferred) -
