DescriptionTeacher of ESL-Job Description:
The position will commence in October 2023. The initial contract will be for a period of two years, and the contract is renewable. The overarching responsibility of all teachers is to ensure that students under their care learn well, achieve their potential and enable them to make the greatest progress.
The number of students in each class: The class size is around 25 students.
In order to fulfil this responsibility, teachers will:
- Be strict with yourself and be able to set the right example for students
- Teach students in a way that enables them to achieve high standards of learning and contribute towards the provision of a dynamic, creative international learning environment
- Actively participate in the development of the school
- Work with Homeroom Teacher to prepare for Unit of Inquiry Planners, Assemblies, special events
- Undertake long, medium and short-term planning to ensure appropriate curriculum coverage according to the requirements of the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IBPYP curriculum
- Take responsibility for preparing students for the Cambridge Checkpoint for English
- Provide competition training for students, help them achieve excellent results
- Assign students appropriate learning tasks, timely review and provide feedback
- Ensure that student learning in classes is monitored, and appropriately assessed and that the results of such assessment are used to enhance learning regularly report
- Actively participate in the range of extra-curricular activities and programmes that take place outside the regular school day
- Take part in designated school events, as defined by the school calendar
- Undertake any other reasonable task that school leadership deems to be appropriate
