DescriptionEnglish in Action (EiA) is a UK-based company who send teachers from the UK to schools in Europe to deliver 5-day intensive English courses for students of all ages. Our English courses are delivered year-round.
We are looking for in-country support for our sales & promotions team by finding an enthusiastic promotions officer, already based in Germany. The successful candidate will be an experienced native-level EFL teacher who possesses the drive and skills required to promote our English courses directly in German schools.

No prior knowledge of EiA is necessary (full training will be provided), but an understanding of the EFL industry and CEFR framework is a must, as well as the ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations in schools to various groups, including students, English teachers, Headteachers and parents.You must have the right to live and work in Germany.The successful candidate will be provided with full support and training prior to undertaking any work. This will include:
-Learning about our portfolio of courses in detail
-How to talk about our courses
-How to deliver presentations
-How to deliver demonstrations to student classes
We will work with you directly to arrange a visit schedule based around your other EFL and work commitments. This position is seasonal with no commitments required during school holiday periods. You will be responsible for getting to your place of work each day and will be reimbursed accordingly. Based on your home location, you may promote for us one day at a time or be away for 2-or-3 consecutive days per week.
This position would suit:
-An expat already living in Germany looking for additional EFL work to fit around your current schedule or teaching commitments.
-An experienced native-level teacher looking for something a bit different, other than usual classroom lessons.
-A recent native-level graduate with experience in sales & promotions and a desire to work in the EFL industry.
Person Specification:
-You will be a successful EFL teacher with a lively and engaging personality and an effective communicator both one-to-one and in front of an audience.
-You must be of smart appearance, reliable, personable and confident with excellent spoken and written English skills.
-You will be an ambassador for the company and expected to act professionally with all school staff & students.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
-Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
-German language skills are beneficial but not always essential
-IT literate and a competent user of MS Office
-Well organised and punctual with the ability to meet deadlines
-Able to work independently and remotely, reporting to and carrying out Sales Managers instructions
-Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure
-Experience and enjoyment of working within education with various stakeholders, from students, to teachers, to parents.
Contract Status:
-Flexible, as required, excluding school holiday periods
Hours of Work
-Variable, depending on the region and school opening hours. Typically, you would finish by 14.00.
-The post involves domestic travel and can include occasional late afternoons and evening.
Main Duties:
-Visiting schools to discuss our courses.
-Giving presentations to parents and students.
-Delivering demonstration lessons.
-Basic admin: Providing visit reports & school potential feedback.
-Creating & submitting your own invoices to EiA for consultancy fees.

Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications:
Cambridge CELTA, TEFL Certificate, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge DELTA Online, Trinity DipTESOL, Masters MA TESOL
Teaching experience: 2 years

BenefitsPay & Subsistence: -€70 per day (inclusive of holiday pay) + up to €47 subsistence per day. Any part days will be paid pro-rata of this amount. -Any overnight stays are paid for by EiA and travel expenses are reimbursed. PAY: -You will provide an invoice that includes daily consultancy fees, subsistence allowances and any allowable expenses. SUBSISTENCE: -When commuting from home. You will be paid a daily lunch allowance of €15 for standard days and you will submit weekly invoices . On the rare occasions you work in the evening, you should also claim for dinner (25 Euros). -When staying in hotel accommodation. Subsistence will be €40 per day for lunch and dinner. If breakfast is not provided, then we will provide an additional allowance of €7 per day, to be invoiced weekly.

RequirementsA native-level English speaker with a recognised TEFL qualification (RSA, Cambridge, Trinity certificate or equivalent) A minimum of two years TEFL teaching experience Full clean UK/European driving licence and proof of documentation covering your own insurance etc You must have the right to live and work in Germany A full UK disclosure of your suitability to work with adults and children will be required if you are offered the post
