We only offer one course because we want all our students to have the best access to global TEFL opportunities. Our course leads to a Level 5 TEFL Certificate (168 hours), regulated by Ofqual (UK government), so it’s the only qualification you need!

Most countries around the world use the UK's standards, tests and guidelines for the teaching of English as a foreign language. This is why our course is regulated by the government of the UK, rather than the USA.

The online-only version of the course is the most flexible way to get TEFL qualified. Study in your own time with help and support from our dedicated tutor team.

On successful completion of the course you will be qualified to teach English both abroad and in the USA. In addition to learning how to teach adults, our unique course structure includes a dedicated unit on teaching English to young learners. Our Level 5 TEFL Certificate (168 hours) is approved by Ofqual as the same level as the CELTA & Trinity CertTESOL qualifications. This means our course is the most internationally recognized, accessible and affordable, TEFL qualification available in the USA.

The online course consists of eleven mandatory units. All eleven units are exam-assessed and for units 5, 10 and 11 there are also coursework-assessed assignments. You have up to 6 months to complete the course, but the average student completes the course within 4-6 weeks.

Our course is designed to cover every aspect of teaching English from planning your first lesson to applying for your first job abroad. Our units are designed to give you the maximum intake of information in the shortest time frame. This technique allows us to offer one of the most in-depth online TEFL courses available in the USA.
