Imogen Steel

I have taken modules on ‘Museum Principles and Practice’, ‘Religion in the Roman Near East’, ‘Classical Modernisms: Receptions of Greece and Rome in Literary and Visual Cultures from T. S. Eliot to Anne Carson’, and have completed a dissertation on Classical Reception of the Iliad in 21st Century Women’s Historical Fiction.

I am predicted a Merit in November 2022.

I took modules in topics such as Ancient Warfare, Politics of the Past, Roman History, Ancient Egyptian Culture and History, Greek society, Sumerians, Archaeology and Heritage and Ancient Greek. My final year dissertation was on the Temple of Athena Nike and how the context of the 5th century affected the artistic choices made in its construction and design.

I received an Upper Second Class Honours grade.
