Mairead O'Connor
Academic Manager
Mairead is the Academic Director and IQA Manager for The TEFL Academy.
"I consider it a great privilege to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching with trainees."
She has over 20 years’ experience in the TEFL industry, both as a teacher and a teacher-trainer. She gained her TEFL qualification as part of her B.A. in Applied Languages, and it led her on a decade-long adventure teaching English to students all around Europe. In 2015, she moved back home to Ireland and started working with The TEFL Academy. She is always excited to see everybody starting their TEFL career and undertaking the adventures of a lifetime. When not working, she enjoys being bossed around by her young daughter and her very demanding cat!
