Welcome to the world of the TEFFALO
The TEFL Academy’s mission has always been to offer the most accessible, flexible, and cost-effective way to get TEFL-qualified, with more ongoing opportunities for successful graduates than any other TEFL course provider. In 2019 we took that one step further by giving back our profits to build our first primary school, built with our charity partners UWS in the remote community of Kanpur, Nepal.
Our passion is and will always be education, and this passion stretches far beyond the walls of our campuses. We believe education is power. This belief is what started our charity work, building primary schools in third-world countries to bring free education to those who need it the most. We are giving these young children the tools needed to break the cycle of illiteracy so that they can build a better life and lift their families out of poverty.
This dream became a reality because of all of the wonderful TEFL students who propelled us to one of the leading TEFL providers in the world. We would first like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been and continued to be involved. The continuation of this work is now the birth of the TEFFALO.
The book Where is TEFFALO? was created in part as a gesture of gratitude to everyone involved in this Kanpur project. Despite the numerous challenges faced, they managed to successfully build a much-needed school in one of the most remote parts of the world.
However, the TEFFALO represents much more than just one school.
As well as our commitment to helping educate new EFL learners and assisting with their prosperous English language careers, the TEFFALO will give back to all those qualified, with teaching materials, games, and competitions for classrooms around the world.
