In your search for a suitable school, you will come across recruiting companies who will offer to find you a guaranteed job – for a fee. Do not pay to get yourself a TEFL job in Brazil. Employers are supposed to be paying you. Reputable recruiters do not charge for their services.
Many of these headhunters will also require you to take their training in order to become certified in ESL or EFL. Having a certification is definitely a plus when searching for a TEFL job in Brazil – and is a requirement if you plan to teach in an international school – but it may be cheaper and much more convenient to do it before you leave home.
