How satisfied were you with your Online TEFL course?

I felt like the overall material was helpful and a good overview of all the aspects of teaching. I also thought that it was adapted for today's modern age with technology and AI. I liked the activities and the larger assignments. I felt the assignments forced me to think critically about lesson planning and I now have the base knowledge to create lessons. I was able to work at my own pace and access the materials at all times. I was able to get feedback on my assignments in a timely manner.

The classroom element of the course helped me have a deeper understanding to why and how to plan a lesson properly, I was able to ask questions and I was able to hear questions that I never thought of and get answers to it. The environment was nice and welcoming, especially when it came to doing the practical.

I would confidently give this section a 10 out of 10. The content was not only clear and well-structured, but also incredibly practical and relevant to my day-to-day work. I found it very valuable and insightful, and I’ve already been able to put what I’ve learned into good use within my environment. What stood out for me was how applicable everything was, it didn’t feel theoretical, but rather something I could immediately implement and see the benefit of.

How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course?
A.
Our facilitator, Luan is really amazing at what she does. She kept me engaged throughout the entire day, which is some feat, especially for such a long day on a Saturday. She made everything easy to understand and left me feeling like I was able to ask any question, although not many was needed. I immediately got an insight in what it would be like to be an EFL teacher and my mind was opened by how many misconceptions I had about English competency and how important it is to grade your language so that its easily understandable.

Luan was very professional, but also approachable and lighthearted. She really knows what she's doing and was able to answer all of our questions satisfactorily.

Overall, my experience studying with The TEFL Academy was positive. The course material was clear, well-structured, and covered the key theoretical and practical aspects of teaching English as a foreign language. The assignments were particularly valuable because they required critical thinking, lesson planning, and the practical application of teaching principles rather than simple memorisation.One aspect I appreciated was the emphasis on authentic materials, communicative teaching approaches, and learner-centred lesson design, which are essential for teaching advanced English learners.

How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course?
A.
Having commenced with the online training a few weeks ago, the classroom session put many aspects into perspective for me. What was nice, I already knew some of the terms, studied in the first 5 units, and it was great to get a practical feel of it. It was really awesome to see how lesson plans "come alive" and also to participate and interact with other students. Another great thing about the classroom session was that we had to create lesson plans and then teach our fellow students, utilizing our plans. This gave a sense of what to expect in a real life teaching environment. We also received feedback on what we were doing well and what areas required development-this was very helpful.

Our Tutor was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, energetic and very professional. She got everyone participating. I loved the games that we played which were relevant leading into each section. I also loved that she gave feedback after we had delivered our practical lessons. It was extremely insightful.
