Originally an Archaeologist, she started teaching as a means to travel and be paid to do so but found that she loved it. Louise loves meeting people and having the opportunity to have a positive influence on their lives. TEFL teaching gives you the possibility to see the world and to really get to know the people in it, as you often learn as much from your students as they do from you. She believes that being genuinely interested in people is key to being a great teacher. She has taught all ages and abilities and enjoys the variety you get in TEFL teaching. Her advice to people new to TEFL teaching is to always remember to be kind and supportive to the students. Happy, comfortable people learn. Be positive and encouraging and you get back positivity and progress.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
The TEFL Academy was the world’s first TEFL course provider to receive official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies in both the USA and UK. This means when you graduate you’ll hold a globally recognised Level 3 (120hr) Certificate or Level 5 (168hr) Diploma, meaning you can find work anywhere and apply for jobs immediately.
