Experience
I oversee the grade 2, 3 and 4 for all subjects. I have a total of 12 kids in my class. The classroom is very one-on-one. Our school uses the AEE curriculum, which is an English, Christian curriculum. The kids do not do the same work, as each child has the opportunity to work faster through a PACE (workbook) or a child can work at a slower PACE if they struggle to understand the work. This gives the kids an opportunity to do two grades in one year. This has made me think on my toes numerous times as the kids are not on the same pages and every child understands the work differently. Therefore, I have had to find creative ways to suit every child's needs and to ensure the information of the work is carried over and understood by the learner. Planning and getting to know each learners strong and "bad" points is essential to ensure a successful learning classroom.
