How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course?
A.
I just enrolled in the TEFL Course, and Kelly was our instructor for the two-day classroom section. I was a bit hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure if this was for me, after taking her class I feel much more confidant and excited to start and finish the online section.
Kelly, was welcoming, reassuring and personable. Kelly made the class environment a friendly atmosphere to learn. I enjoyed how the class was taught, she set up each section to mirror to show different teaching styles that would work for us when we are teaching our students at each level. Which helped us learn more than if we were just sitting looking at a PowerPoint presentation. I appreciate her taking time to critique me and point out what areas that I excel in and what areas that I can work on to be a more successful teacher.
I feel that our class was lucky to have her as an instructor because she has traveled and taught all over and she shared her real life experiences and offered some interesting facts to know when teaching in different areas of the world which will be so helpful during the interview process. - Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. All in all, Kelly is an amazing instructor, you can see that she is passionate about what she does, this is not just a career for her this is something she loves to do and does it well. She is highly motivated and is sincerely interested in all of us succeeding. With her experience of teaching all around the globe she has great tips for her students she is a great asset for your company.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. Mairaed, our TEFL instructor, was very informative and gave great insight to grammatical issues, classroom management, and real-life scenarios abroad. She demonstrated creative techniques, taught language games and gave us positive feedback after our practice teaching sessions and roleplay. I was most impressed with the techniques she shared regarding how to teach an absolute beginners' course to students without using the students' native language to explain the activities. The say-repeat-practice-feedback emphasis was clear and effective. After completing the 20-hour course with her, I have greater confidence and am really looking forward to completing the online portion of the course.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. Mairead was friendly, disarming and made me feel comfortable with the material and roleplay. The handouts were good, but I felt the personal experience with Mairead assisted comprehension. I was especially impressed with the way she explained the difference in wrong pronunciation versus accented pronunciation and how to elicit shy students to participate in speaking exercises. I learned a lot by having a tutor present who could answer my questions directly, rather than writing a help ticket.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. The course was a good introduction to TEFL. It provided a practical guide and good tips on how the key elements of TEFL need to be applied in the classroom. A good opportunity to practice and get a taster for what TEFL would be like in real life. Corin was excellent in his delivery of the course, in listening and providing 1:1 advice and resources for future use. He was really good at making everyone feel very comfortable, which was especially important given the varied background and experience of participants. Overall, a very good two-day course.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Tutor? A. I thought Corin Patterson was excellent in his delivery of the course, good mix of activities and 1:1 student follow up. He made the course a very enjoyable and worthwhile two days.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. Judy was a wonderful teacher. She was very energetic and enthusiastic. She did a wonderful job of including everyone into the lessons and explaining everything to us. Judy made everything interesting to learn. I enjoyed that the lessons weren't just read out of a book, everything was explained in enthusiastic detail. Definitely going to remember these two days. :)
