The TEFL Academy is the world's leading TEFL course provider. Our courses are designed to effectively teach our students the fundamental skills to enable them to be successful at teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL).
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy instead of another TEFL company? A. It offered the classroom which some other courses did not, plus it was fully accredited.
- Q. Did the course live up to your expectations? A. I cannot think of a single way it could be improved. The tutor was excellent and had very good teaching skills. Everybody was included and fully enjoyed the classroom element.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. She was excellent and cannot be faulted. Lovely, humorous, sweet, charming and happy to help anybody and answer any and every question. Involved everybody and made the experience more enjoyable than I could possibly imagine. I honestly do not believe I would be giving such a high review for any other potential teacher.
- Q. Did the course live up to your expectations? A. Both days covered a lot of info and teacher tips. The classroom sessions allowed us to put theory into practice as well as keeping us constantly busy in activities or little exercises.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. She made the classroom sessions fun and interesting. She answered any/all questions we had as well as providing us with an insight on what to expect, due to her experience.
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy instead of another TEFL company? A. It seemed the most appropriate for me in terms of time, as well as seeming to have the best support system in place after the course finishes and a wealth of opportunities for jobs with the qualification.
- Q. Did the course live up to your expectations? A. It was a wonderful experience. The course leader was professional but friendly and approachable, I learned so much more than I expected and I feel much more confident now upon completion.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. My tutor could not have been more inspiring, supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. She was truly motivational and it was clear how much she knew about her subject and how passionate she was.
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy instead of another TEFL company? A. I read the reviews and read more into the company and saw how well-known it was and the good reviews it had had from previous students.
- Q. Did the course live up to your expectations? A. The trainer Liz was really engaging and real about the situations we would face. Also I never expected to learn as much about the English Language as I did.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. Liz was extremely helpful and even spent her breaks helping us if we had any questions or queries. She was engaging and very knowledgable and got all the class involved in every activity.
- Q. Do you have any other comments about the course? A. I would recommend this course to any nationality or age group, the content was relevant and helped us learn more efficiently. The tutor, Liz, was engaging, fun and everyone was able to ask questions about where they wanted to take their certification in the future, as we all had different ideas.
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy instead of another TEFL company? A. The TEFL Academy seemed to have a better description of the the course than other providers and is accredited unlike other courses I looked at.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. The tutor, Kelly, made the whole weekend fun and extremely informative. Everything was explained clearly and reasons why it should be done in a certain way. She showed us lots of resources and gave us information about the next level of course we could complete if we so wished. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
- Q. Why did you choose The TEFL Academy instead of another TEFL company? A. My main reason for choosing the TEFL academy was the price and discount for booking two places at one time was attractive as me and a friend wanted to attend together. As well as this, the weekend classroom tuition was interesting and the fact that despite the low price, the course was accredited.
- Q. Did the course live up to your expectations? A. Every piece of the classroom course seemed to flow together very well, so it gave the appearance of the time flying by. I was apprehensive initially of two ten hour days, but the time was barely noticeable because the class was fun and interesting. The change between more lecture type information giving and activities requiring movement meant nothing was boring. All of the activities it seems have been carefully selected to be relevant to most of the different backgrounds of the different students.
- Q. Do you have any comments about your TEFL trainer? A. Iona was faultless. She is obviously a person with an enormous wealth of experience and knowledge in her field, and this shone through. She made sure that everyone was included, even bringing the slightly shyer students into discussions and allowing everyone to have a turn in speaking or contributing. Her feedback for the practice lesson giving was perfect, not too criticial but enough so you know where you had gone wrong. She was also constantly giving praise to everyone in the class, which was a massive confidence boost, especially for someone like myself who is very self-critical. I particularly enjoyed the lesson given solely in Catalan. It was an interesting exercise which showed what learning English or any language with no previous knowledge of it would be like. It was amazing to think that solely by gestures and the odd word you may have got the gist of that you could learn how to give your name, where you live and your likes and dislikes in a completely foreign language.
