Internship Overview
The Jobs Abroad program is designed to kick start your TEFL career without you having to do all the heavy lifting. Teach English in Cambodia with a reputable program guiding you every step of the way from the get-go. Your journey starts off with a 9-day training and orientation practicum which will entail a cultural immersion workshop, an introduction to their partner schools in Cambodia, opportunity to attend observation classes (to see how it’s done), followed with your own teaching practice class (to show how it’s done!). Next …. job placement! From your CV, mock interviews, looking sharp, and real interviews, to your official job placement at one of their partner schools you will be assisted in finding a well-paid ESL job in 14 days or less!
During your teaching placement you would be required to improve the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills of young students eager for your arrival. You will be required to provide 25 hours of in-class teaching per week, which should give you enough time for lesson planning as well as any extracurricular activities that resonate with you.
Teaching salaries in Cambodia range between US $800 – $1,200. Let’s say that again …. US $800 – $1,200. With the low cost of living, this will enable you to have some money left over after your monthly expenses. The only question is, how do you plan on spending it?

Benefits:
- Full program support on getting the right visa, setting up insurance and obtaining the right documents.
- Accommodation: You will be provided with single room accommodation (with your own bathroom) for 9 nights. During this time, you will be assisted in finding long-term accommodation which will be suited to the location of your job placement.

9-day Training and orientation which will include:
Complimentary welcome dinner and drinks upon arrival
5-hour workshop on living and working in Cambodia (Cultural immersion)
6-hour observation class, wherein you will be sitting in and observing a teacher give real classes to real students.
8-hour teaching practice. You will be presenting your own class wherein the first 6 hours will be critically assessed. - Job placement. After you have completed the 9-day program, you will be assisted with job placement at a partner school as well as given advice on your employment contract.
- Support throughout your employment contract
- Land and a well-paid job in Cambodia as an ESL teacher
- Provide in-class teaching of around 25 hours a week. (Gives you enough time for lesson planning as well as extracurricular activities).
- Classes consist of 15 – 25 young learners eager for your arrival.
- Teaching contracts can range from 6 – 12 months.
- Teaching salaries in Cambodia range between US $800 - $1,200 . (Enough for accommodation, food, travel, and saving)
