When you hear about “levels” this refers to the UK government’s framework for qualifications. This framework allows learners studying UK government regulated qualifications to understand where their qualification sits in comparison to other qualifications. Our course is a level 5 qualification, which is the same as a diploma or foundation degree, one step above a-levels, but below a university degree. Our course is the same level as the CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL qualifications.
A regulated qualification means that it is officially recognised by government and sits on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications. You can view our qualification on the Ofqual register here.
The simple answer is, we just don't know! Recruiters offering the best opportunities with the most competitive packages are now asking for level 5 TEFL qualifications. All regulated level 5 courses are 150hrs+ in length. We have never seen a single employer ask for more than 168hrs of TEFL training.
We know that navigating your way through the TEFL web of courses is very confusing. This is why we offer just one course, exactly what you need to get the best jobs around the world!
Choosing to study a regulated qualification is your guarantee of quality. Course providers offering regulated qualifications must comply with very tough quality assurance rules and procedures. This ensures that:
Any qualification that is officially recognised by the UK government will sit on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications. Make sure to ask your course provider to provide a link to the register for their qualification.

TEFL and TESOL are both acronyms for teaching English to non-native English speakers. Both acronyms can be used to describe qualifications which certify you to teach English as a foreign language. To a large extent, "TEFL" and "TESOL" are used interchangeably.
Offering a high quality TEFL course that provides students with qualified tutors and leads to a government regulated qualification doesn't come cheap! Course providers selling on daily deal websites must heavily discount their course fees and then split what they make 50/50 with the deal portal such as Groupon, Wowcher & Amazon.
With such small revenues it’s impossible for TEFL course providers selling on daily deal websites to:
TEFL courses sold on daily deal websites are unregulated, unaccredited, lack academic credibility and will not be respected by employers.
You may see cheap TEFL courses advertised online that claim to be a “level”, such as “Level 5 140-Hour TEFL Course” (often advertised on daily deal websites), unfortunately these courses are not the level they claim to be and are highly misleading.
The level of a course tells learners where the qualification sits on the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). If a course is not listed on the Register of Regulated Qualifications, then it is not really a level at all. You can find our qualification on the register here.
Make sure you ask any TEFL training provider that claims to be offering a “level” of TEFL course to provide a link to the Register of Regulated Qualifications. If they cannot provide this, then the qualification is not the level they claim it to be and will not be accepted by foreign embassies and employers.

A. Great layout, instructor was informative, helpful and friendly. Content was productive and all questions were answered
A. Mark was a great teacher, consistently engaged students and made everyone feel comfortable. He knew what he was talking about and conveyed all the content clearly. He went to extra lengths to ensure everyone understood and would individually give us feedback on our strengths and constructively instructed us on areas we could improve on in a very kind and professional manner. One of the best teachers I’ve ever learnt from!!
A. I thought the structure of the course was perfect. Upon first entering the room I was terrified but the course structure and the teacher’s professionalism and character gave me confidence to be able to do the teaching practice. I felt the grammar on the Sunday was a little bit overwhelming but that was probably due to my lack of grammar knowledge. Mark is a superb tutor and really gave the students confidence alongside making the course fun and enjoyable for all. I Thoroughly enjoyed!!
A. Mark made sure at every stage of the course we understood what we were learning about. Mark created a friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the length of the course.
A. The tutor, Douglas was very prepared to make adjustments due to Covid 19. The class ran smoothly and we were able to complete the course successfully.
A. Our Teacher Mark was highly intelligent with 17 years of teaching experience, and he taught us the importance of getting our students to think in the target language. Mark demonstrated interactive teaching and learning, and how to elicit answers from the students. Most importantly he demonstrated to us how to encourage students to think and speak in the target language, which is better than teaching students a set of grammar rules which they would use to constantly translate from their first language to the target language.
A. Our teacher Mark used his intelligence and his experience to teach us the importance of getting students to think in their target language. He taught us how to use the communicative method and activities, instead of students only learning grammar rules and then translating into their target language.
A. Mark was an excellent tutor who went above and beyond the curriculum. Mark made all the students feel comfortable and encouraged our learning. Before his lesson I was having doubts about my ability but with Mark's training and encouragement I fell much more confident in my ability.
A. An amazing teacher, who engaged with the class all the time. Very funny, informative and provided the information in a realistic way. Focused on the important things.
A. I feel like it was really beneficial to attend the course. I learned a lot and the the practical elements were challenging, but extremely useful.
A. Mark was great. He explained everything well, he made it interesting, and I felt the time fly by. He was encouraging and never critical.
A. Douglas was very engaging. The whole class was involved in every aspect of the day and his wealth of knowledge really provided us with an insight into what it's like to be an English Teacher in a foreign country. Each day was broken down into different modules and it made the 10 hours go by quickly. I would definitely recommend and I look forward to starting my course online.
A. The classroom element is very helpful and enjoyable. It gives extra information that the online course hasn't covered. The practice in the classroom was very helpful for a beginner teacher as me.
A. I enjoyed the teacher's instructions during the classroom lessons. The lessons were delivered in an educational, interesting, informative, and constructive way. Constructive feedback given to my lesson practice in the class was helpful and very insightful. Our teacher is very easygoing and patient.
A. Excellent two days. A lot of content was covered but teacher kept everyone engaged. Really enjoyed the theoretical and practical elements.
A. Engaging, humorous and knowledgeable.
